We had 22 Young and Aspiring Engineers signing up for our holiday workshops over 3 days. Below are some of the highlights of the events.
Who is Leonardo Da Vinci? Who is the Inventor of first aircraft? What makes the airplanes fly?
Above are all the challenges the kids are solving for their Science Workshop.
What is a pendulum and where do we use them?
We use the pendulum to measure nearby vibrations, including earthquakes.
Seismographs, machines that measure the intensity and direction of earthquakes, are complex pendulums that move only when the earth’s crust moves.
What is Pantograph?
A pantograph is a device designated to copy model drawings in a larger or smaller scale, while keeping the model’s proportion.
What is a tachometer and where do you find them?
A tachometer is a sensor device for measuring the rotation speed of an object such as the engine shaft in a car. This device indicates the revolutions per minute (RPM) performed by the object.
Our Super Hero workshop kids set out to build some of these related models and thoroughly enjoy while learning the scientific and engineering principles behind these models.
